Arai SZ Ram III Description and Features
Ventilation - The Arai SZ-Ram III uses a diffuser ventilation system derived from Arai's Formula-1 involvement and first seen on the flagship RX-7 motorcycle helmet.
Shell Construction - After decades of research, testing and evalutaion Arai believes that fiberglass shell construction does teh best job of performing a motorcycle helmet's main job - spreading impact area over the widest area possible through strength, structural integrity and impact-flexibility.
Interior - It's fully removeable and washabe Dry-Cool comfort lining utilizes micro water cells to improve moisture and heat transfer from the head into the existing airflow leaving the rider's head dryer and cooler at the end of a long or hot ride. Dry-Cool liners dry much faster between rides than any other liner.
Exterior - Hyper-Ridge reinforcement bands run along the bottom of the shell for added reinforcement and strength. By maintaining the shell thickness to the base of the helmet, it lowers the center of gravity, contributing to a better balance and allowing for the helmet to rest easier on your head. Side vent cowls, sculpted into the hyper-ridge design exhausts more hot and stale air.
Other Features:
- Brow Vent Faceshield Ventilation System provides cooling air in upper face area without holes in critical forehead area of the shell or in the impact-absorbing liner material
- ZR shield, holder and base plates
- Removable, washable, dry-cool liner
- Fully adjustable Type-5 diffuser system I/C-2 center vent
- CLC (Complex Laminate Construction) shell–fiberglass composite is stronger and lighter allows use of softer, less-dense liner materials inside for increased rider comfort
- Meets or exceeds Snell and D.O.T. standards
